It exists for collectors who value provenance, long-term potential, and plants grown to their fullest expression—not rushed for volume or trend.

Why We Breed
Breeding at Anthurium Story begins with purpose.
Every cross is chosen for structure, stability, and the ability to elevate the next generation—not simply to create something new. We focus on form, texture, sinus depth, and balance, while allowing environment and time to shape each plant’s final expression.
Our goal is to create Anthuriums that hold their value not just today, but years from now.

The Genetics We Stand Behind
We work with select, proven lineages that have earned their place in the program.
Night Dragon was introduced not for novelty, but for strength. Its density, structure, and consistency provide a powerful foundation when paired thoughtfully with other lines. Bringing Night Dragon into the program required patience, verification, and persistence—but the genetic value made the journey worthwhile.
We also invest deeply in RA lines for their documented provenance and breeding reliability. These lines represent disciplined field collection and genetic clarity, allowing future crosses to remain meaningful rather than diluted. These lines can be traced through the breeders I acquired all the clones from back to RA the original collector.
In Guatemala, we undertook the difficult work of securing Fred Muller lines—plants not widely available and rarely released. These genetics remain special precisely because they were never overexposed. They carry history, restraint, and untapped potential.
Ethics & Sustainability
Anthurium Story is committed to sustainable sourcing.
We believe there is a clear distinction between preservation and poaching. Large-scale removal of wild populations erases both the plant and its future. Instead, we support limited, intentional collection—documented, ethical, and rooted in long-term conservation through cultivation and breeding.
Every wild-origin line we work with carries responsibility.

Rather than keeping important genetics closed, we work alongside trusted breeders in the community—sharing select RA lines and creating crosses together. Staying boutique allows us to track every cross, grow every plant with care, and maintain standards that would be impossible at scale. We do not rush growth or release plants before they have shown their true potential.
